Cassandra Ference is pursuing bachelor degrees in Wildlife Conservation and Entomology at the University of Delaware. She is currently conducting research to measure the diversity and abundance of parasitic wasps in urban forest fragments. Parasitic wasps are important biological control agents for reducing crop and forest pests. She is a National Science Foundation (NSF) EPSCoR Summer Scholar, the Outreach Chair for the Entomology Club, a volunteer at Tri-State Bird Rescue and a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware.
