Gardening With Your Local Pollinators

Location: University of Delaware, Townsend Hall and Botanical Gardens

 

In the Classroom: We will discuss the benefits of native pollinators, the reasons for their decline and how you can help conserve them by planting a pollinator garden. Planting considerations, pollinator lifecycles, and nesting sites will be covered in the context of a backyard garden.

 

In the Field: We will learn to identify native pollinators and tour an established pollinator garden where participants can gain ideas and inspiration for their own backyard!

 

-This workshop is free of charge. It will be capped at 30 individuals and will operate on a first come first serve basis. To register please send an email to Owen Cass at ocass@udel.edu
